To the students who want to join us : Master course is almost always 2 years and we have extra 3 years for Ph. D course. Students who have master degree or equivalent spend 3 years to obtain Ph. D, and those who only have bachelor degree spend 5 years to be Ph. D. The academic year starts in April. All the new studnets join us in April. The graduation is almost always in March. However, it is also allowed to be enrolled in the graduate school in october. It is recommended to contact us in sufficient advance. Students here are not paid from the lab or from the department. There are some scholarship availabe from Japanese government and other foundations. Please contact proper agency for the application of the scholarship. For foreign students who needs scholarship, the best way is to apply for the Japanese Government Scholarship in your country. There are two ways to this scholarship. Here are some tips. Letter of reference from a Japanese professor is preferred. 1) get the application form at the Japanese Embassy in your country. 2) fill up the form and prepare all documents needed. 3) search
a suitable Japanese professor and send him your proposal of study and ask
4) submit application form, documents and letters to the Japanese Embassy. 5) Time of application is normally May, ask Japanese Embassy for detail. Another way is to apply it through Japanese professor. This is auniversity-to-university basis selection. The procedures are as follows. 1) find
out Japanese professor suitable to your study, and ask him if he may accept 2) If advisor accepts you, he will send you application form. Fill up the form. 3) Time of application is normally January. Other than
